SO YES THIS IS A'ST1 WE'RE TALKING ABOUT. Read on; I swear this is something worth pimpin' about.♥
And they're pretty hot. I mean, look at Tomo, kjs;lsdsgf. Pretty smokin' there. And Hanbyul is so perky♥. Jungjin and Inkyu looks lol, normal. Haiming is so.. gay? XD;; Jangmoon is so innocent and pure♥ What's not to love? :P
A'st1. Pronounced as A star, or A style, but never Ast one. Or a variation of the sort. Which is confusing at first, but at least it kinda stands out from the others. Lol abbreviations, ILU. Anyway. A'st1 is composed of six members (please refer to the picture and corresponding names above), 4 of which are Korean, 1 Chinese, and 1 half Korean, half-Japanese. They created a stir and became infamous about a rather puerile scandal (refer to the SJ-explanation below), but after solving that problem, they debuted. In fact, their debut happened last April, so they're still fresh.♥
So, to my biased fangirling over the innocent Jangmoon. \:D/
D: D: D: Jangmoon is so cute |3~ he has this raspy voice which I find uncommon in KPop, and aside from that he can speak fluent English. ♥ ;LAJSF;L;SAFASSDF; He even sang Richard Marx's Now and Forever[02:07-02:17] and I was like, "lkdsjlsdjgl;dsgf OMG ♥___♥!" (yes, click it to hear the awesome.)

0:23 - Hanbyul. I love his voice. *g* His high notes (0:46-0:48, 1:37-1:40, 2:28), let him show you it. (Higher than your typical KPop boyband-high notes.) First person to catch my eye (awesome voice, anyone?) and now is my second most-favorite in the group♥
0:32 - Jangmoon♥. Second person who caught my eye. HIS VOICE IS SO RASPY I DIIIE (0:36-0:38, 1:10-1:12, 2:36-2:38). Total pwnage and luff. WATCH HIS VOICE PWN. You won't regret it.♥
0:40 - Jungjin (leader). Kinda evident really XD
1:00 - Tomo (!!). Half-Jap, half-Korean. (LOL that's why he hasn't got this pointy face thing =P) and he's quite awesome, too. Can speak Korean 8D
1:32 - Haiming. ;__; He's Chinese and he only has one solo line in this song DDD8! S'ok though, I like him still. He can also speak Korean fluently, methinks.
1:46 - Inkyu. Idk, he has to grow on me. :| But he can dance well 8D~
Aside from that, I love their songs. *g* It's so... JT-ish. Well, reminds me of JT, and I love JT♥ 8D~ Track 4 (You) is so reminiscent of Justified, idk (around 2:20 onwards, just wait). When they sang (still track 4) "naega.. baboyeosseo~", you'd get what I mean♥. *nods* There's the medium notes and low notes combining, and it's really lovely and swoon-worthy and awesome.
AND. This is one of the few singles in which I listen to all of the songs. Definitely awesome.♥ Their mellow songs aren't all ballads (as proved by track 4), idk anymore. Their voices are so awesome, and I think I need another word for "awesome". I seem to be abusing it with these guys♥.
Because I really am feeling nothing but love for this guys I upped tracks 2 and 4 (LISTEN TO IT OKAY D8 ILU FOREVER IF YOU DO) to hear their awesomeness. kldsglsdjgsjdl;g I LOVE IT SO MUCH. ;__; My favorites in their debut single. ♥

Oh, and the Suju-challenging thing? I have heard the SJ side, and I heard their side, and I think... (SOME OF) THE FANS ARE ALL DIPSHIT THE ONES WHO'RE MAKING STUFF UP. 8Dv
I am only saying this once. They wanted to challenge SJ because they looked up to them. i.e., SJ was such an idol group to them that they wanted to attain SJ's status. Like how you'd treat someone who's basically skillful at a specific talent and you just had to challenge him to a showdown (or sumth) because you wanted to become like him and have the same status as him. 8Dv But then it went wildly (not that I'm siding 100% with A'st1, because heyyy they were misinterpreted and somehow they also helped others in misinterpreting stuff) and they apologised to Suju. (Go search it in YT, I am not going to look it up.) Then SJ treated them to dinner. So it's all fine now. 8D
Besides, I have this theory that SM and DSP have this certain contract or sumth in which they'll create rifts between their groups. I mean, hell-o. SS501 and DBSK are friends and still all these crazy batshit rumors spring up. Oh well.
Anyway. A'st1 is awesome, and their songs are awesome. Totally not a ripoff from SS501. I lovelovelove both groups and I definitely recommend their songs. ♥
