Fandom updates
Caught up with Neuro up to ep.17. I had decided to skip all fillers (read: original cases that don't appear in the manga) and ended up watching every second episode or so. I wish the animators had spared more screen time for the current arc, which is beging mercilessly rushed (at the expense of Usui and Higuchi's masochistic relationship D:). I must admit that HAL looks fine though, and they did the Neuro/Yako marker assault justice~
I'm halfway through Zipang and loving the show. Kyou Kara Maou! R (OVA) neither exceeds expectations nor disappoints - it's still the same good old KKM. As for Ghost Hound and Hakaba Kitaro, I don't have an opinion yet.
For the last two days I've been struggling with the recently-released Polish edition of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but I cant get past chapter 2. The flow is just not there... Even C.G.Jung reads more smoothly. Speaking of which, Jung is brilliant. Each page is a violent struggle, and yet he makes everything so much easier to comprehend. I feel like I'm gaining something important although I do not know what it is. Perhaps it isn't but an empty impression. I don't know. There isn't much I could be sure of these days. :|
I did a little digging in the Oofuri fandom. It's... gay? Totally gay? I do like slash but I think I prefer my fandoms with a little more variety. :D;
(The series is excellent though. I never read scans but maybe this time, just this once... I cannot possibly wait another year for book 10. OTZ It would be a lot of catching up though.)
