Okay, so I still hate the t-shirts that say that. But that's only because I feel that most who wear it, don't really have those feelings. They don't know.
But, let me tell you, it is AWESOME over here. I have a rent-stabalized apartment that is super nice on one of the main streets in Astoria. The community is fun and vibrant, full of my favorite stores plus all the cheap stores any new arrivee could ever wish. I moved in (bedding, showers, cooking, toiletries, basics) for about $100. Gotta love it.
I am 25 minutes including the wait from Times Sqaure.
There are at least 3 butcher shops nearby, the closest one being a couple doors down with skinless but eye-full lamb heads in the window. Astoria's Finast Windows is across the street from that, and Bloody Spechacre (something like that) Roman Catholic Church is close. Oh, and DOLE '96!
Yeah, gotta love it. I go to ladies night a few blocks down tonight for free drinks 9-12. YEAH!
