I don't mean to sound rude, and maybe its just entirely me, but it pisses me off when sponsored students (i.e. people studying over seas on scholarship) complain about how little they are getting for allowance money. Its like,
first of all I know people who damn well deserve a scholarship but didn't get one and are not even complaining doing form 6.
Secondly, if you think about it what with all the exchange rate you're complaining about, you're getting quite alot of money in RM so you can't expect them to give you as much as they pay WORKING GRADUATES can you? When you have not even graduated yet let alone work for them even. (example, say you get 400 sterling pounds = RM2800 roughly, there are thousands of the working class not even getting that much and you don't even have to lift a finger to get that, you're getting PAID to study isn't that good? think of all the times of SPM when no one bothered to pay you to study)
Thirdly, when you chose to accept the scholarship, you chose to accept the mediocre allowance, I'm sure you were informed either by the sponsoring body or by seniors about that so-called measly amount, so really if you think you STILL can't afford it and would just DIE with such little money, don't bloody accept in the first place. Its all part and parcel of scholaring. If the other thousands before you could do it, why can't YOU?
Also don't give the bullshit about how some people are alot more well of and they can survive with extras from their familys' pocket because money is still money and I'm sure for every child more well of than you, there is someone even more worse of.
Finally, to reinstate my first point, some people don't even GET sponsors' allowance.
