(no subject)
So - I've been in India for over a month now and still have a good 3 weeks before I am home. This place is amazing. It is so stinking cool I want to stay here and travel for the rest of the year. Rajasthan - the state that I am in is known for its bright colors and they arnt kidding. THe city I live in, Jaipur, is solid pink (painted for the British royalty since it is the color of hospitality.) and the sari's are magnificent. (i have a blue silk one - prrrr). The streets are a mess of bikes, motor rickshaws, motercycles, elephants, camels, cows, cars and busses and trying to cross the street when lanes are not used and people drive wherever theres space and use the horn more than in NYC traffic - well thats pure balls. The people are amazing, friendly hospitiable, and you barter everything to death from rides to clothes to food. IT ROCKS> Rajasthan is an amazing mix of mountians, and deserts and forests and jungle, city and village, castles and shacks. I am taking billions of pictures so hopefully I'll figure out how to post a few. Just thought I'd let you know I am alive and well.
