I keep saying that one day I will switch over to xanga, but in all honesty I am too lazy. In fact I'm too lazy to actually write in this thing. Its not that I dont have the disciplin, but rather I write somehting and feel as if it is too trivial and stop writing after sentence number three. But here it is, I will write. I went into the city the other day to go see some friends from wheaton and get in one last Yankee game in before I leave the country. Lydia accompanied me and we spent most of the day in the Met (did I mention I ADORE that place. I have basically memorized the European art in the 1800th centry and the American Modern Art Sections.) And then we headed down to the village to meet Peter at his appartment. We got hot dogs and pina coladas at a place he was hesitant to bring us becuase in his oppinion girls wouldnt like it. He obviously dosnt know lydia and me that well. We went to the Yankee game and met up with Elizabeth and her boyfriend Rigby, the Yankees slid through with a slight win in the 10th. We had some coffee and meandered through central park only to find we missed the trian.
Now, heres when people ususally get mad at me, lydia said she was discussing with matt how I can never seam to get movie times right, and other people tend to make unappricated comments about "how my plans never seam to work out." however, I find that they always work out just right. I mean, I think of the time we tried to get that youth hostel in chicago and the cops ended up directing us to that hooker motel. So we just "got our white ass's back to michigan ave." as we were told to do, and crashed a party at the Westin next to the John Handcock buliding. So If you were to ask me, my plans always work out. And if people think I cant get things right, well, I have more fun my way anyway, so who the hell cares!
Lydia, Elizabeth and I slept in a double bed that night on the top floor of the appartment and then got up late and walked around, got some good coffee, went shopping, had some exellent pizza and took the trian home later that afternoon.
Now, I am packing myself up for India, not knowing what to expect, but am pretty damn sure it will be an adventure and I hope I miss a trian or two and get stuck in some bizzar situation.
