...
Well, the ball's ruined, mostly due to our musician fleeing and the other decorator never showing up at all. Oh yes, and the coordinator sulking like a kicked puppy.
It's still going on, of course, and I only hope that the Replica and his lady find some way to enjoy themselves perhaps they can laugh at Riku and Roxas but I have more pressing matters to attend to than entertaining a pair of adolescents.
Anyway, after I left the ball, I took a rest and had a cup of tea. Which made me feel better... dancing with Larxene was most tiring, and the real reason I've returned instead of dealing with the problem of Eight and Nine.
Still no sign of Axel. I have no idea where he could have gone.
That's a lie. I knew exactly where he was - where he always goes when he's upset. Back to his homeworld.
I had a talk with him. Didn't try to make him come back - I know better than to try to catch a flame. I did, however, find out what he'd said to Demyx to get him to flee like that, and why he'd said it.
Now I have to ponder my next move.
I could tell Demyx why Axel said what he said, but it is not my place to do that. Axel has to tell Demyx the reasons for what he said. If I did it, I would only worsen the situation.
The problem is going to be getting them to face each other.
...
Why must I always be the one to do this...? I don't want to work, I really just want to sleep...
Well. I suppose the first order of business will be to get Demyx back. I simply have to find him - which won't be too much of a problem, I hope. Then, once I've found him, I have to convince him to come back. Also... likely not too much of a problem. Unlike Axel, a few honeyed words should call Nine back to us.
...
Then it's a matter of getting the two of them to face each other. Preventing them both from running, and getting Axel to say what he means straight.
Yes, indeed. Like herding cats.
I can only hope that Axel decides to come back first... He likely will, but I cannot be certain of that, nor can I be certain of how long it will take. If not... well.
And then even if I do manage to get them together in such a place that they will not flee - or, worse, fight - and then have Axel explain himself to Demyx... then there's the question of what good it will do.

The things I do to hold this Organization together...
