It's been a while since I've concerned myself with having a new Livejournal layout. In fact, even though there are many s2 custom CSS layouts distributed throughout many communities, I've rarely lifted my finger to modify as much. This one by reversescollide is refined and overlooks not a single detail. The header is manipulated by me a la Sotheby's Realty, of an exclusive condominium in South Africa. There's something so austere about it that makes me think of research institutions rather than residential homes, but I suppose I'm charmed by the irony. (As, regardless, it is beautiful architecture.)

In addition, to commemorate the new layout, I also took a screenshot of my Macintosh desktop. Click the image at the top of this post or here to see. I've been using the Macintosh almost continuously these days, even though the majority of my files are on my Windows. Unfortunately, the latter computer keeps rounding up in the tens of infected system files whenever I log on. So, I deal with it exactly how a person who doesn't know how to heal another does: I avoid it.

My Mac Mini isn't without its benefits, at the very slightest. I love how smoothly it runs, how crisp the elements flow on-screen, how everything is in one functional package. Even the keyboard seems more polished to the touch. The azure blue background that you see on my desktop comes along with OS X, and it's the loveliest set of high-res photographs I've seen (if anyone wants them, I'll be happy to upload a few). Mac is to my Windows like my new LJ layout is to my everyday old, if I may make that comparison. And I'm not minding the prepackaged hardware that the Mac series is typically known for; I'm not a developer nor a gamer, so I have no necessity in which I'd need to take motherboards and -cards apart. I think, by the time I need to replace my old Windows, it might be wise for me to invest in a Mac G5.

ETA: Whoa, I just viewed my new LJ layout on Windows, and it really looks ugly in comparison to how it looks on my Mac.

You may also notice that I had my DIVX player running in the background. Uhm, it showcases my latest euphoria: Korean pop music! The screenshot is from a video called "O" Jung Ban Hub, by TVXQ, whom I absolutely adore. You can certainly look forward to me having a mini-essay on the mesmerizing works of the Korean music industry in the future! I'm soon to integrate myself into more Livejournal communities on the discussion of such musicians, despite the language barriers. Ah, but I'll manage some means of getting my necessary dosage of information!
