while brushing my teeth a minute ago i was reminded of how my grandma once told me that i have to put my teeth together and brush the entire front part, from left to right and then across. this is a memory that consistently appears and i wonder why this is so, since it doesn't seem to have any particular impact on my life. another consistent grandma-related memory appears when i cook instant noodles - almost every time i open a packet, i can hear her telling me that i have to rinse the dry noodles first as they might not be clean. i rarely listen, but i do remember this so, so often.
