"i'm graduating, i'm graduating!"

Last Friday night my old high school drummer from Chicago came down to play at a party at Ryan's house. We rocked out with our cocks out, finished our set and mingled within the party, as more people eventually spilled in. On my way to the kitchen I saw a plus-sized, curly-haired, blurry-eyed young lady stare ahead drunkenly as she leaned back against the sink counter, repeating the same garbled words over and over again. As she staggered over closer to me I was finally able to make out what she was saying. "I'm graduating, i'm graduating!" she said over and over again. We clinked our cups together. "I'm graduating, i'm graduating!" "Congratulations" wasn't enough. I checked my pockets for a trophy. None. She kept going. Another cheers. The rise and fall of her intoxicated mantra did little to relax me, so I slithered away as she looked away and continued her rampage throughout the kitchen.

The next night I found myself sitting next to golden friends over a golden beer at Murphy's. We laughed while recapping the night prior, Milton engaged in one of his ever so verisimilitudinous impersonations. His subject this time was the parrot from last night. He said that it was like she had a button on her stomach, and that every time it was pressed, she would shout out, "I'm graduating, i'm graduating!" With astonishing coincidence suddenly our heroine appeared right behind Milton, gesturing and calling out the same words that he was heedlessly imitating. First I was stunned. Then later, as she was being ushered out of Murphy's by her concerned entourage, I was curled over in hysterics. Congratulations Girl!
