(no subject)
So, I watched Kung Fu Panda last night!
It was actually very good! One of Dreamworks' best, I'd say. The story was pretty cliche, but it was entertaining enough to keep me watching.
What I loved most about the movie, though, was THE BACKGROUNDS. And the colorrssssss... and the character design, I LOVED the character design too.
So while it wasn't the best thing ever, I still really enjoyed it.
ART DIRECTION WAS A++++
Story was okay
Animation was solid, and not choppy.
Character design was REALLY COOL.
Humor was a bit annoying at times, but not overly so. Plus, it was supposed to be over the top anyways. XD
(ALSO, I very much enjoyed how the five kung fu masters were all represented by the animals of the main types of Kung Fu. ALSO: Praying Mantis style is what Toph uses! RANDOM AVATAR FUN FACT LOL)
The only downside is, knowing Dreamworks... there'll be a sequel. And it probably won't be as good. :P
SIDE NOTE: I LOVED THE OPENING SEQUENCE ART STYLE. (I kind of wish the whole thing was animated in that style... it would've been THE STUFF OF LEGENDS)
