weird dream woah
had a very strange dream last night:
keerstan invited me to her family reunion. it was a steak dinner, of course i accepted! the cummingses were at the same restaraunt and bought me another steak and potato. rock! [while always friendly if i run into any of the clan, i haven't been friends with the cummings children in over 10 years, since i was 13. and yes, that's their real last name.]
the restaraunt morphed into one of keerstan's relatives' back porch. complete with model of stone henge, but the rocks were as big as a person and it had a flat top, making a huge table. her family, in my dream, is apparently very spiritual and are all wiccan and witches and such, some better at it than others, and different shades of good or bad. even though i was still not at all into this stuff even in my dream, i could tell something was off. one man was up ont he table, no one was paying him attention, and he was conjuring... something. i got worried.
next day:
about half a dozen family members, including this guy, are doing some routine spell on the tabletop. but the energy they're putting into this benign ritual is feeding into whatever he awoke last night. it is hiding itself. so i run around the table yelling "Ooga booga! Aberacadabra!" and any other 'magical' words i can think of, including a fake american indian rain dance because, as i explained myself, "What, Keerstan? You said your family is native american right? i'm just trying to fit in!" yeah, the McGuinleys are so native american. i really pissed off and insulted her entire family. really i was trying to attract the attention of whatever this thing was. it worked. it lit up a neon navy blue [can you think of a more evil color?] dome over the tabletop and the people on it, and looked like one of those lightning balls. that got the family moving and everyone outside the dome got off their lawn chairs and i guess got together to conjure it away. then i woke up.
a. what movie did i get this kinda thing from? i know it's super generic, but i can't think of any i've seen. ghostbusters 2 maybe?
b. where the hell did that come from?
