If you were going to make me over, what would you have me do differently?
it's probably pointless to post this because none of you got me anything for my birthday, but even if you don't contribute maybe you have suggestions or can sit back satisfied that i want to do something or something.
a bunch of people for coming on ten years have wanted to give me a makeover. the list only grows as i meet new people. it's been a long time coming but i've slowly resisted less and less. now except for changing my hair and some lifestyle issues [i'm still not motivated to take the time to do make up] i'd totally dress differently if i could afford it.
that affording it is really a hinderance.
after work yesterday some coworkers and i went to the bar across the street. there were other people from the store there. one guy, hammered, bought me a shot and told me anytime i have $500 and a weekend to call him up. he knows the best hair people and make up people in town, put me in some pumps and i'd be hot. supposedly he dated a carbon copy of me, same build and all, so maybe he knows where to find clothes that will bloody fit me. i'd be ecstatic to find that. and he wasn't hitting on me because he's engaged. whatever, point is he's right.
i might take him up on it. in stages at least. i'm not ready to lose my hair. i'm willing to straighten it, i like that.
for x-mas last year han took corinne and me to a salon for a manicure, cut and eyebrow waxing. i'd already taken a big step by getting my brows done for the first time two months prior and i've kept it up since. the manicure i loved but is def. a luxury that is low on my priority list. the cut i went for my normal blunt cut.
this year if you want to get me anything but don't already have an idea like a mix cd, and you want to contribute to this makeover thing, go for it. give me money [as little or much as you want. you can use paypal or mail a cheque if you're away], a gift cert somewhere, actually take me shopping. whatever.
if nothing else, get a couple peopel together and get me a straight iron. i could straighten my hair once in a while.
