Coin Toss [Season 3] and Several Updates

Feb 01, 2016 00:30

Have you heard about "Coin Toss"? Well, it's a TBS reality show where some strangers (men and women) are chosen to meet, interact, and fall in love by doing several activities decided by a coin toss. This is one of my favorite 'unpopular' shows, besides "Going! Sport & News" and "R n Housoku". By saying 'unpopular', I mean those shows aren't popular outside Japan (maybe because it's not hosted by a bunch Johnny's Talents like Arashi's tv shows and not having guests promoting their dramas/movies).

The first time I watched "Coin Toss" was last year, for its 2nd season. At first, I wanted to see Oryo (Yoshizawa Ryo) because he is one of the MC (the other two are Nakamura Anne and Savanna's Shigeo Takahashi). Turned out, the 2nd season was quite interesting. I adore most of the casts (Miitan, Ume-chan, Kotaro, Kuni-kun, Aya, and Keita), though I don't particularly remember my thoughts about Akane and Daisuke. What I remember is that Daisuke liked Akane (it's a one-sided love) and he was very very very lucky (he often got the coin's gold side and get to sleep in the same tent, have a dinner, and steal a kiss from that poor Akane-chan). Daisuke's character was so weird, but I couldn't hate him because I got to see a lot of Oryo's laughing face because of Daisuke XD The only character I hate is Rei, because he got Kotaro's place and then he betrayed Kuni-kun who approached him as friend and he liked Aya only because her face :'(

And now, The 3rd season of Coin Toss has just started. I heard the 1st season has the best composition of the casts (age and maturity are always counted) but it's quite hard to find all episodes from the 1st season. Comparing between the 2nd and 3rd season, I think the 2nd season was more popular because it's more seishun-ppoi (typical teenagers). Though there were some casts in their late 20s, their appearances looked younger so it was like watching a bunch of teenagers having a blind date for days. The 3rd season looks more real, because their ages and appearances vary (in a good way). More information about this season's casts (Takumi, Isshi, Hiro, Nicholas, Ayuka, Anna, and Minami ---and Keita, additional cast like Daisuke in previous season) can be read here, while this season's unaired scenes can be watched here.

Anyway, today is Oryo's birthday! I don't know how to celebrate it, so I'll share these eps (will be updated hopefully each week). I don't know if there will be anyone who has interest in this show, but I'll take my chance now since I had no friends to talk about this show when I watched the 2nd season. To watch the RAW video, you need to change the file's extension from 'ORYO' to 'mp4'.

[UPDATES] I got a power outage (blackout) today, and it lasted for long (around 10 hours?). Because of that, I haven't worked on the last ep of "Kasa wo Motanai Aritachi wa" (Ants without Umbrella, a newsnowexpress project), means the sub for 3rd ep of "Watashi wo Hanasanaide (Never Let Me Go)" may also be delayed. And if you're waiting for "Yonimo Kimyouna Monogatari", I assure you I will finish it but Idk when (INA SUB is ready, but the ENG SUB stucks at the 3rd story ---because I'm biased toward Fukuda Mayuko and Nomura Shuhei, I lost motivation when they stories are done) ;___;
