Having some minor difficulties arranging the transportation for the move. REALLY fucking pissed about it too. Here's why:
To rent a vehicle (car, SUV whatev) ONE WAY is deceptively expensive. It's like "Oh, 192.09 a day, but then we'll secretly tag on a GIANT drop off fee of like, $800" or $1400 a week no backsies.
WHAT THE FUCK???
No wonder nobody rents cars anymore. That's fucking ridiculous. I thought, oh well shit, I guess I better check out UHaul just in case that's cheaper. Uh, NOPE. That's $1450! Holy fuck.
So basically my options are now 1) find another Chicago resident to drive down with me and Molly or 2) take an Amtrak to San Antonio, which will take 32.5 hours but only cost $117 but then Molly will have to fly back to Chicago... or 3) Shell out the dough, fly to San Antonio and rent a car to drive down to Corpus, then drive it back up there two days later to drop it and Molly off at the airport Aug 1st.
