I don't think loyalty factors in much when you're a minion, sir.

Miss Lyon, I'm officially requesting Sabrina here as my minion-slash-intern.

Oh god please don't cal

Would I need to bring anything specific sir, or am I coming to simply hold instruments and be called by a ninety year-old's name?

You would hold instruments, take notes, fulfill simple parts of whatever procedure occurs, mop my brow in a commanding but delicate manner. The usual.

And not all of them are ninety. One charming young woman with magical powers comes to mind.

Wonderful. Does your brow tend to get incredibly sweaty or would the standard pack of sterile washcloths suffice?

Forgive me, sir, but did you just refer to a teenaged witch? I wouldn't have marked you down as even knowing who she was.

The standard pack is also great, and would suffice.

And I'm not entirely ancient enough to lose sight of all pop culture references, Harmon. As it happens, there was a lot of idle television-watching in the hospital break-room ten years ago, and that infernal show was on quite often.

Poetry as well, then? I must admit - I'm rather impressed. Many doctors consider themselves well above the arts.

I was by no means implying you were ancient, sir. Simply more... astonished that would be familiar with what you aptly described as 'that infernal show'.

Cold science never thrilled me overly-much. People are, despite how it might seem, my primary concern. And we watch what we must when the channels are limited, Harmon, despite some of it being low-grade situational comedy.

I completely agree, Dr. Reynard. I believe that a basic understanding of humanity is necessary even in the most scientfic of professions, and medical texts alone cannot grant you that.

I understand sir, even though I still don't see how sharing names with a badly-written fictional character is any better than doing it with my friend's great grandmother. I don't think I should have to suffer for my parents' poor taste.

Yes, agreed.

Miss Lyon suggests we leave in the morning, by the way. I suppose we'll meet her at the Atheneum, and I'll leave a message at the hospital. You'll need a reason to leave. Could this count as an obscure family medical emergency?

Obscure family emergency it is. I'll see you there.

Is she necessary, Dr. Reynard?

It would depend on what we're being sent to deal with, miss Lyon. But she's eager for the experience, and she would never have received this opportunity outside of tale-based circles.

I suppose it can't hurt.

I'd like to leave in the morning, if that's at all possible.

I'll be at the Atheneum, bright and early.

Thank you very much, Dr. Reynard. Your help is very much appreciated.

We'll be using magical, instantaneous travel by way of the Ebony Horse - just so you're prepared.
