Title: Ride With The Rockers [Chapter Two]
Author: iScreamParty (myself)
Rating: NC-17 for this chapter, to be safe. But I believe it's more R.
Featuring: SuG and ViViD
Genres: Comedy, Romance, Life, Dreams.
Pairings: RyogaxShinpei
Disclaimer: The above information is set only for this chapter. As you should know, this story, in general, fetures the GazettE as well. I don't own Shinpei or Ryoga, unfortunately, and they are very unlikely to have a secret love affair going on between them. I do own the two girls that show up in this chapter and the idea, which mean that if you steal, you're dead.

[Chapter 1]

Chapter Two: A Dangerous Gateway
“I hope you didn’t accept that invitation,” Ryoga said slowly, putting out his cigarette in the ashtray beside the sofa and approaching the younger man.
Shinpei was still distracted as he half-heartily searched for the bow of his tux; he didn’t want to go, he seriously didn’t want to go especially not as Reiko’s date, but he didn’t have a choice, “I didn’t have a choice, this is a major opportunity for our whole band.”
An arm slid around his stomach, pulling him up again Ryoga’s hard, warm body, “Then maybe you should make it clear to her that you don’t ‘date’.” he whispered beside Shinpei’s ear, his hand sliding down the front of man’s body slowly.
“I-I…” Shinpei inhaled sharply as Ryoga hand reached down, slowly unzipping his pants.
“You what?” Ryoga asked, trying to keep his own hoarse voice under control. He smirked, his hands undoing Shinpei’s belt, “Don’t tell me you’re this easy,” he said softly, already supporting half of Shinpei’s weight as the guy seemed ready to collapse.
“I do date,” Shinpei barely finished. He was already half slumped against Ryoga’s strong body, his breathing rigid, his hands sweaty
“Hmm?” Ryoga said softly, his lips tracing a line down the man’s neck, “You aren’t satisfied with me?”
Where Ryoga’s lips touched, it burned insanely. Shinpei took a sharp breath when Ryoga’s hand worked its way underneath his pants. His vision was blurred, he couldn’t think about anything, he could only feel the desire to give in, “How can I be satisfied?” it had taken the most control to say it and it was meant for to come out firmly, but it ended up only as loud as a whisper.
He gulped and felt the direct heat of Ryoga’s hand, his breathing turning into pants.
“Then tell me what’s the problem,” Ryoga demanded of him in the gentlest way possible.
Shinpei was still distracted, unable to think clearly, but he knew what he wanted. He had tried to come up with ways of making Ryoga understand a thousand or more times in his head; in fact, he already had this conversation with Ryoga once, but his wish is still the same. He put a restraining hand on Ryoga’s wrist, his body screaming in protest, but he gulped again and removed Ryoga’s hand, “I don’t want to keep this a secret from my friends anymore. No, rather, I can’t keep lying to them.”
Ryoga sighed and removed his arm, returning to the sofa, “We’ve had this talk.”
“But-”
“No ‘buts.’ There is a photographer out there who’s mad enough to go snooping into J-rockers lives, trying to find ‘juicy’ news. If we are exposed, what do you think will happen?”
Shinpei sighed and buckled up his pants, “So we’re going to keep this secret until things cool down?”
“Ah, secret love affair,” Ryoga grinned slyly.
Shinpei arranged his bow and headed towards the door, “Then I might as well keep our secret safe by being Reiko’s date tonight,” he said sternly. Without another word, he left, the door shutting firmly behind him.
Ryoga cocked an eyebrow and lit another cigarette, “Just like a bitch,” he muttered. But deep down, he was hurt just as much as Shinpei was disappointed. If he didn’t do something soon, it was likely that this relationship wouldn’t end up nicely, not that he wanted it to end at all.

Reiko twirled a lock of her curly brown hair, watching as Shinpei downed another glass of alcohol. She twisted her lips, more bored than disgusted at her friend’s unnatural behavior. “Ne, Shin-chan, you’re so out of it today,” Reiko complained, staring at the man who was half-heartedly paying attention to what she was saying over his glass of vodka, “What’s up? Girlfriend troubles?”
“Eh?” Shinpei looked up, slightly taken aback and worried, “I-I never said I had a girlfriend.” Perhaps Reiko knew? But then again, Ryoga wasn’t his girlfriend. Hell, he didn’t know what Ryoga was to him, but it was too early to feel relieved, “Where did you get that idea?”
Reiko pretended to think, twisting her lips into a pout as she gazed up, “Hmm. Let’s see; you always complain when I use chan instead of kun to address you. You don’t exactly like vodka, yet you’re drinking a lot of it without actually knowing what you’re drinking. Oh, and the best part, you aren’t even paying attention to me!” Reiko said sarcastically, her temper flaring with each passing sentence.
She slammed her drink down on the table, “So tell me, who’s the girl that made my best friend so depressed? C’mon speak up so I can go kick her ass.”
“I-I can’t really tell you…”
Reiko sighed, “Since when did you keep secrets from me?”
“Getting cozy are we?” a new voice interrupted. Yet before Shinpei could be even the slightest bit relieved, he noticed who it was that interrupted.
“Juliett-san,” Shinpei said, surprised yet again, “What are you doing here?”
Juliett raised her eyebrows and nodded at the camera in her hands, “What do you think?”
What she had said earlier suddenly began to sink in, “It isn’t like that,” Shinpei blurted out, already crossing his fingers, “We’re just friends.”
But surprisingly, the American girl merely rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, “First, denial is acceptance and I’m damn sure there’s something going on, at least on one side,” she raised her eyebrows swiftly at Reiko, “Second, I don’t really care about you, and I can’t possibly care-thank Chiyu for that. If you wasn’t in the same band as his, I’d have beaten you up because you’re eyesore.”
Shinpei had already lost track of what she was saying, relief had already started to fill him, but it was short lived.
Juliett turned around and patted his shoulder, stopping briefly to whisper in his ear, “However, I know there’s something going on with you and on of the member of ViViD. It’s a dangerous gateway you’re toying with and I’m not the only one who’d love to get your pictures.”
Shinpei closed his eyes and took deep breaths. Maybe Ryoga was right after all, they were doing something really risky and his rants didn't help. He laughed at his own stupidness slight; God, he hated it when Ryoga was right.
“What do you have against me?” he asked Juliett. She had never liked him nor had he ever cared about her. After all, out of all the members, he was the one who was always being treating coldly by Juliett, she’d either ignore him or make him the butt of her jokes. Of course, he couldn’t care less, but when it comes to this, he felt that he should at least know what he was dealing with.
But her answer didn’t really help, “You’re an eyesore. You’re too careless.”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
She turned her head slightly, locking her gaze with his, “Chiyu is my best friend, being a paparazzo is my job, as long as SuG doesn’t have what we’re looking for, I do and be with whom I love perfectly. But you are exactly what we’re looking for and you’re too damn careless.”
Shinpei didn’t need to ask to know why, “I understand but it isn’t easy to clear up supicions, I’ll need your help.”
Juliett sighed, and ran a hand through the dry hair that hadn’t been taken care off. That’s when the dark rims under her eyes became even more noticeable than ever, especially when her face was pale to the extremes, her green eyes unfocused; it was obvious, she lacked of a sleep, lacked of care for her own body. Shinpei suddenly had the irrational urge to tell her to take care of herself, but the logical side of him saw no point. “You know where to find me.” she muttered before walking off.
He took another sip of his vodka and lowered his drink; if they hadn’t kept a secret, made so dangerous, everything would have been fine. That’s why, in the end, Shinpei knew he was also the one at fault. He was the one that didn’t want to reveal it at first, because he was scared. He smirked. So pitiable. Sometimes, he was truly a coward. To change that, he had to start by admitting the truth, and the first truth laid with the unfinished business he had left back at their apartment.
“Gomen ne, Reiko, I have to go,” he said.
“Huh?”
“There’s somewhere I have to be.”
“But!” before she could stop him, he was already gone.
They say that a friendship starts to fall apart when one take the other for granted. For Shinpei and Reiko, it was no different, but there was also another problematic issue that neither of them had the courage to face though they would have to face it eventually, especially when everything blows up.
