Posting from the staff room again. It's shitful here. That's enough about work.
Christmas was okay. Watched Joel open presents when I got home from night duty (Luke was still asleep), then had 3 hours sleep. Went to Danni's family doo which was arranged this time by the Peachys who had hired a house at Glenelg (they live in Sydney). The boys had a good time, but I was pretty shattered & went to sleep at 2000 once we got home.
Lukes 2nd birthday was on the 30th. We had a pool party. Notice was pretty late, but it was a good turn out. The boys & everyone had a good time. I have posted photos on Facebook. Am now broke until pay day.
Yesterday just as I was leaving for work the flagpole kit I ordered arrived. Before work today I concreted in the base, & I'll see about setting up the rest of it tonight when I get home. It's only a cheap kit, but it'll do for now. I do like the idea of flying the Irish Brigade flag on St. Pats, the Aussie flag on Australia Day, various German & Civil War flags on the respective days (ie: the WW1 German Ensign on the Kaisers Birthday). Danni has been against me getting a flag pole, but in the end I just went ahead.
I have worked 6 days in a row, have tomorrow off, and then am back for another 5 or 6 days. My whole roster this month is like that. I get 5 days off in a row at the end of the month, but I don't know if I can do this heavy roster without a sick day in there somewhere. Family isn't going to see much of me.
Fairly tired tody. Worked New Years Eve, not a bad shift, but we didn't do anything much when I got home as Luke was asleep, and Joel had just woken up as I walked through the door. Danni had me buy a pizza on the way home as she craved one. Had to put it on my Credit Card as Christmas, school fees & Lukes Birthday have cleaned me out until pay day.
We should be getting a pay rise with back pay sometime soon, so hopefully that will help with the expenses.
