PIRATES ON BRIBIE FESTIVAL
Word has it that this Easter Sunday and Monday Bribie Island will be seized upon by scores of pirates. But there is no need to hoist the sails just yet… it’s all in the name of swashbuckling good fun!
The Bribie Island Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with Spinnaker Sound Marina, Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club, Ferryman Cruises, Gym Junkies, Bribie Island Aquatic Centre, Bribie Island Surf Life Saving Club, and CADET Training & Employment are proud to present the Pirates on Bribie Festival which will be held on Easter Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th March, 2008.
The aim of this inaugural festival is to bring the community together and showcase Bribie Island as a major tourist destination.
In keeping with the Pirate theme, entertainment will include - Pirates of Penzance presented by The Lyric Theatre, Food & Wine Festival, Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club Golf Clinic, Pirate Boat Pageant on the Passage, Reef and Bottom Fishing Tournament, Pirate Bike Hike, Pirate Dry Boat and Pirate Raft races, Pirate Market Stalls, Roving Entertainers, Children’s Activities and Amusement rides, Fireworks and much, much more.
These events will be held on and around Bribie Island.
