i hope that those i love who have left have arrived home safely, and that one who is still here is feeling their absence less painfully than when i last spoke to him. and i hope that i too will soon arrive safely to embrace those i have been missing for so long - without you here to embody it, the beauty of these landscapes is just too fucking impersonal to bear.
