Neither borrower nor a lender be

Two new family members in 2009. Just yesterday, Kathleen Dorothy was born in St. Paul. Whew.

Amy mentioned a few times that they were sad I missed the birth of my niece, but I was happy to spend time with them before the fruit basket upset. I love them all very much, and it felt very natural to be there. It's been a year and a half since I'd visited, but everything seemed to fall in line. I was excited to go and was thrilled to be there, and I wasn't sad to leave. That last bit is probably the most exceptional. Most of my friends have scattered the world for grad. school, so I don't feel like my life is consolidated there anymore or that I'm a traitor to my best interests by leaving.

I did meet up with Eric for sushi and had a great time catching up. Some friends I feel I can just talk with forever. It is possible I enjoy that more than my counter parts, but they suffer me well. :) (I love my friends.)

The weekend also took me to my brother-in-laws grandfathers' 88th birthday party. My nieces, my sister, and all of her in-laws were together for the evening. There was much merriment filled with great laughter. Not the chuckles at something that's clever or silly, but ruckus guffawing that brings tears and belly aches. The. Best.

It was a wonderful trip.

Go here for a toe tappin' earwormin' good time. Also, pretend you're 18 months old and like to dance....with this card. Ooooooooh yeah!
