Gym Brat

I know I haven't been going to the gym long enough to be bratty about it, but there are just some things that make me want to throw weights around.

1. People who leave their equipment on the floor after a class. I don't need to trip over weights or lug steppers and lifters just so I have my own space. Now, perhaps they were very tired after their class. But if they're not pased out next to the equipment they left, I'm going to assume they have the necessary motor skills to put everything back in place.

2. People who 'do their own thing' in the class. When everyone's going left, they're going right. Now, maybe they recently watched Dead Poets Society and was very inspired to march to their own beat. But it's very distracting when you see a wayward arm or leg sticking out. Even more embarassing is when you start to follow the nonconformist.

3. The too-cool-for-the-class kids who stay in the back and crack jokes about some of the moves. I'm not here for your entertainment, and I don't think you'd want me to start cracking some jokes about YOUR thighs, mmmkay?

4. And finally, the people who try to have a conversation with you WHILE you're working out. Yes, you're being friendly...but in case you haven't noticed, I'm sorta kinda out of breath right now and you just made me lose count of my crunches.

...
I started reading Left Behind last night. I know I'm about a decade late, seeing as how the first novel of the series came out in '95, but whatever. I did TRY to read it a few years back, but I got too freaked out about the Rapture.

Anyway, now that I'm in the middle of it, I have some questions.

1. They don't openly mention any other religions. Are Christians the only ones who were taken?

2. Were all priests taken? In light of the molestation scandal, I don't think all of them should have been taken. And if all of them were...then I'm going to put this book down.

3. What about animals? Was the cartoon right? Do all dogs go to heaven? =)

I've even started looking stuff up in the Bible. Why don't I remember the Book of Revelations being this scary?
