What to do for New Year's Eve?
I found out today that I will be alone for New Year's Eve. So, I posted about it, and all the guys sent me private messages while girls would make a public response. So sneaky. Most things are going on out of town. Tempting as some of them are, I'm going to try to stay as local as possible.
My parents and brother left this morning, and have safely made it back to their destinations so far. Everyone loved their gifts; I'm happy it all worked out.
I took a midday nap, and it felt SO good. Then, I talked online with one of my friends, not an old friend, but I think a potentially very good friend. I always enjoy our talks :-)
Meanwhile, I learned today that "Mexican food" in Australia is really expensive. That's so weird. It's dirt cheap here, sort of like Chinese food, which is also apparently really expensive in Australia as well.
Right now I'm watching Animal Planet and it's a commercial for I Shouldn't be Alive. I wonder if they tell the actors of the dramatizations that they have to yell at the sky with clenched fists at least once during the shoot. It really seems like every episode has a screaming at the sky scene. Right now, the AKC agility championship is coming on. I need to turn these off, they always suck me in. How do you even train a dog to do that?
It seems like there's some sort of dog event going on somewhere in the world every day. It's like Florida and Matlock. I remember once when I went to visit my parents, and at any point in time during the day or night Matlock would be playing on at least one channel. I had no idea there were so many episodes of it. I've always enjoyed "old people shows" like The Golden Girls and Murder, She Wrote. What my mom always found funny was when I could identify the older movie stars that would be in the episodes. It is strange, though, seeing so many of them 40 years older than how I am used to seeing them.
It's after 6, so I should try to get some sleep...zzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzz
