I'm going to buy a computer. I have a laptop that works perfectly fine but I'd love to have a desktop PC as well (mostly because it won't break out in a panic and overheat the moment I tentatively ask "Guild Wars 2, maybe?" but also just in general) and let's say that my old one is almost eight at this point and the less is said about how well that thing works, the better.
Thing is, my knowledge of computer specs and what they do is virtually non-existent. And that is of course where you come in. Let's see...
a) I have a price ceiling of €900. That's absolutely the most I can spend on this. (Less would be awesome of course but if I have to go up to 900, I can. I might be poor but never underestimate my ability to budget around stupid things I really want.) My parents, always on the hunt for a present for my approaching 29th birthday, (I'm approaching thirty? When did that happen?!) have agreed to take care of a monitor (although if there's some not-so-obvious stuff you need to keep in mind when buying one of these, I'm sure they'd appreciate the input; they understand computers less than I do) and I've got a keyboard & mouse, so this is all about the tower.
b) As you might have guessed, I'd like to be able to play games on this thing. Not in like, Super Duper HD Mega Quality™ of course, but I'd really rather not sit here in two years and find out that I can't run an average new game anymore even on the lowest settings, if that makes sense.
c) It has to be a complete system. In case the second paragraph didn't make it obvious, I have exactly zero knowledge of how to build my own computer and afaik, neither have my local friends. It's just not an option.
d) Oh and remember I live in Germany so something that's easily available here would obviously be best.
e) ??? I'm running out of things to ask for. So I guess the tl;dr version is "what can I get for €900 or less?" and if you have any opinion on the matter (or want to remind me of/ask me about some vital information I forgot about)... help?
