If not, try it...Its too good!
Skype cant match it..Yahoo! cant match it..And its still in Beta...

i read the article in that link....even though this product might be another "me too" product, the kinda promotion that it has got tells a lot about the "Google" brand man!!

Dude, u have mis understood me...Following a herd is diff and appreciating a good work is diff ;-) and am saying "wow" because i liked it..it was my first reaction...not because i follow a herd...and btw, the ease with which u can install and start using gtalk is just amazing...its not that easy for a guy without an IT background to setup and use skype or similar voice chat s/w

dude the choice is personal ..

i still prefer to see my stock quotes & listen to my music on y! msgr ..
plus i also like the emoticons & IMvironments ... as well as the ability to send sms to ppl from the Y! msgr client ..

in terms of voice quality .. i have had diff. experiences with each call .. skype i feel is the best of the lot

ditto for stock quotes, music and chatting...
but when it comes to voice chat, Google is too good man..
Ya, i have used skype...but it has some problems with Firewall i guess...

Within a lan .. Y! msgr was better for me ..
within country gtalk & Y! msgr were abt the same
across continents .. skype was best, y! msgr the worst

It works with GAIM as well!!! . I can be online on all accounts from one place :-)

Yahoo v 1.0(or whatever its earliest version) possibly was not a patch on G-talk v 1(or whatever it is).

I bet a similar version of skype scores the same too.
