if only the Nintendo DS had video, mp3 playing, and WiFi for when I get lost and need google maps. I'd totally buy it.

You do have to pay, BUT it has internet, email, GPS, every game imaginable, LJ FB and Twitter, all in one place. :D And it's super customizable AND it has a digicam with flash.

IT IS EVERYTHING.

I do not have a Droid, but I do have an Android phone and I do love it most of the time, even though my data plan is slow. Sadly, if you actually want to use it as a phone and don't have a charger on you, it's best not to use some of the other features as they drain the battery life.

Get an iPod Touch. Apple knows how to make an intuitive user interface. I loved mine for the brief time I had one. Thinking about getting an iPad now. Music -and- books, and a bigger screen for video.

BTW, I will be in NYC July 5-9 with possible road trip to Philly and DC on Jul 5-6. Any opportunities to meet up?

well, I'm in Boston and I cannot travel far. I'm reliant on the boyfriend for rides long distance, unless you are traveling through MA.

Also, I don't have time off in July. :| It'd would be a REALLY fast meet up.

Sorry, travel plans have changed and I will be nowhere near East Coast after all.

OTOH, I am much more likely to stay in CA during Thanksgiving and/or Christmas holidays so do let me know when you're here visiting family.
