When you look at me soon, love
I pray that you will see me as I am:
a multi-sided grey object, loosely defined.
With many faces and many hollows
and facets and angular hairs that spiral out
and you may think they gesture like my many reaching
organic arms.
Grey as an urn,
Grey from far away but varying in colour closer up,
Some parts ruby and some gossamer;
and, other colours in other places
and one door out was even opal -
but, finally grey when looked at and seemingly hewn.
I reach out with my many fractaled arms
I reach out and grasp at white space.
--------
Inside is black space expanding
infinitely inward and extending infinitely outward.
The dust in there coalesces into tiny ornate clouds like lace and hangs there.
It dissolves there and blows away and seeps from under my finger nails and oozes from my elephantine skin
