CON CONTRA

a bill could mean 'a monetary note' or 'a statement of debt';
to buckle could mean "to secure" or 'to collapse';
to cleave could mean 'to separate' or 'to bring together';
to dust could mean 'to add dust' or 'to remove dust';
to sanction could mean 'to permit' or 'to restrict';
and fast could mean 'quick moving' or 'immobile'.

These are impediments, annoyingly so.
