(no subject)
It's been a while. I've been an observer lately. So much has happened since my last entry.
I visited my mom at the end of May. It was a quick visit, but it was great. I got to do a lot and see a lot of my family. Of course, as per usual, I didn't see all of them. I also met three new additions to my family, including my second godson. The heat was amazing, but I love it, it's home.
As soon as I returned we wrapped up the wedding preparations and the big event took place at the beginning of July. We ended up making and/or putting together 85% of the wedding. Thank God for family and friends who helped out tremendously. T's, grandma arrived two weeks before the wedding so we got to spend a lot of time with her. The week of the wedding T's aunt and uncle arrived from Rhode Island, so at that point we left our house and went to stay with T's Dad. The actual wedding was a success. Nothing went according to plan, but the bride and groom were happy so I guess that's all the matters. The wedding as a whole was very different from what I am use to. Everything happened during the day, the bride and groom left the party early in a decorated car, the dance floor wasn't full the whole night, and it ended by 10 PM. It was fun overall and quite a different experience.
Now that the wedding is over, I can spend my time and energy on the upcoming trip to Florida. I am looking forward to being away for 12 days.
And lastly, we move next week. We will be moving from a one bedroom apartment to a three bedroom two story house. I'm looking forward to having more space, a backyard, a garage, and there is also a sauna but I won't be using that a lot since they make me nauseous. Packing sucks, but we are slowly getting near the end. I will post pictures after the move.
