Comment to this post, and I will list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be totally random. D'awww, you know me so well <3 Okay, commentary!
1. Harry/Ron/Hermione: THIS SHIP. I struggle to express my feelings for these guys, as friends, in love, whatever. They're the heart and soul and strength and weakness and beauty of the HP series, and y'all have already heard how much I love them. If you haven't, here ya go.
2. Dollhouse: THIS SHOW. It only got two seasons, it's been cancelled for a for a few years now, but I still can't let go. I think the large majority of my "so wrong it's right" fucked up type ships come from this show, because a lot of what went on in Dollhouse was majorly fucked up. There wasn't a single character you could claim was a saint -- they were all flawed and they made terribly bad judgment calls and there were consequences for that. The overarching story arc (once the show hit it's stride, at least), was at once confusing and fascinating. I will never stop wishing that we'd gotten more out of this universe. Since we didn't, I'll just be over here writing fic :/
3. Canada: Pffft hahahaha. Yes. I'm Canadian. I like maple syrup, our health care system, and (watching) hockey. However, I live in Vancouver, which is like un-Canada in a lot of ways. It doesn't snow, ever. Instead, it rains. Maybe you've noticed how somber and gloomy all of those X-files episodes are? That's not well-planned cinematography and atmosphere. That's just how it is here.
4. Visual things, or a lack of confidence in your ability to tell which ones are 'good': ACCURATE. This comes down to two things. First, I really do have a very low visual/spacial intelligence or whatever. I have trouble remembering things visually (so what people look like, what a place looks like, etc), I can't picture stuff (like diagrams or graphs for problem-solving) to save my life, I can't draw for shit. Secondly, I'm just kinda an insecure person, often. Anyone who's ever betaed for me probably knows this. I consider myself a good judge of other people's stuff (NOT VISUAL STUFF TYVM), but I cannot for the life of me be objective when it comes to my own work.
5. SCIENCE!: love, love, love. I may not be fantastic at it but if there's one thing I love, it's learning. I have this need to know, to understand how and why things work or are the way they are. Science is questions, it's answers, and wow this all sounds really pretentious so I'mma stop here. Suffice to say that I love it.
