Okay, I was talking to a friend just now who was curious about Cenobite, so I decided to just go and do my "vanilla deathmatch" now.
BPAL Antique Lace's linen note is much more obvious arrayed with the rest of the vanillas: it's a white, lacey scent, properly nostalgic, not exactly ethereal but, well, lacey.
BPAL Elf v4 is a smooth, smooth vanilla. Very...neutral? It's slightly sweet, but I wouldn't call it a sweet scent; it's slightly foody, but definitely not foody; it's got a richness and deepness to it that I wouldn't call dark.
Solstice Scents Cenobite is a definite foody vanilla--and I'm actually thinking I guess I won't need this one after all. There's a bit of a marshmallowy feel, something approaching the BPAL cake note, or a very very light hint of the BPAL cake note.
Arcana Devilish is like a very soft Celeste--a spicy, almost resinous vanilla.
Verdict: Everything stays except for the Cenobite. Glad I haven't made my big bottle Solstice order yet!
