Yes, I know what you're at, and I do conclude that yours is a very valid point. But I mean to say that, the average writer, if fully prepared to improve themselves, should look wherever they can! Anthologies, online literature, whatever. There's a whole wealth of unpublished genius out there, after all x) But yes, fanfiction is a pretty...obscure branch, ahaha. LOL, I just hope my blatant disregard for some grammar rules (in favour for exceedingly, annoyingly long sentences!) isn't very painfully obvious.
Haha, Xigbar's just so popular like that. Though truth be told, it's sort of hard to pick favourites with the Organisation. They're all brilliant in their own ways. And sure, many people wish Days didn't exist, and I suppose it was slightly pointless and didn't elaborate on more details, but the characterisation we gleaned was welcome nonetheless.
I don't know, but Ienzo (and later, Zexion) struck me immediately as something of a...rather unsettling child. The kind too mature and knowledgable for his own good, and everyone knows it. This air of detachment and world-weariness which came as a result of having to grow up quickly, perhaps.
Mmm, indeed. It's like Saix said: they alone were able to hold on to their memories, and therefore did not lose themselves entirely in the process of becoming a Nobody. And that's what sets them apart from all the lessers, and precisely why there are so few of them.
Oh, no, you're making perfect sense. And this is exactly why we love the Organisation so much. There are boundless opportunities to perform impromptu character studies! How awesome.
Heehee, nothing wrong with that. And dude, you could totally give me lessons with readings ahahaha. This is intense stuff, and would be right at home in an English lit class. Whoohoo for sappy romances! Though I haven't really read any that are that good :/
Very much so. And it will expose them to a larger variety of writing styles and whatnot, rather than be limited to whatever they have been exposed to over the course of their studies. ; u ; I'm glad you think so! I've been told too many times that it's confusing to read my sentences because they go on forever -- and I'm seemingly incapable of writing short, snappy sentences.
They are! Just because there isn't enough in-canon to work off of is no excuse to neglect them. Sheesh, look at Demyx! Only about three scenes or so, and look at his following. And then we have Vexen, who's often poked fun at, Lexaeus and Xaldin, who don't seem to exist, and Luxord, who is only rarely ever seen. As for the girls, they're in a whole new category of neglect.
(Err yeah. Partly why I go mostly with head-canon. I'm not too keen on the fact that with Days out, there's a lot less wiggle-room with that particular timeframe.)
Oh my god yes. Think about how unnerving it is. He looks at the most, what, twelve? And to think he had that much sway over Ansem the Wise...it's definitely thought-provoking. Makes you wonder what went on in his mind when he was cornered by those Unversed; probably nothing innocent, and more along the lines of, 'ah, what could I do with these creatures that would further my goals to understand everything there is to be understood about the workings of the fragile sentimental heart?'
That. Is complete and utter win. I approve heartily of that, and would also like to request honorary membership to those character discussions. Haha.
Mmm, yes, but it still doesn't detract from the fact that such gems are lamentably hard to come by. Such a crying shame )8
...ohright. OKAY WHY DIDN'T I REALISE IT'S THE BISHIE FACTOR LMAO. I tend to forget about the existence of such things in favour of my extremely grimdark headcanon, as was exemplified in Ganymede.
I feel terribly for Vexen. Sure, he looks old, and is all planes and angles, but c'mon. PEOPLE ARE DIFFERENT. If the whole Organisation was one endless parade of pretty bishounen, they'd be so much flatter, personality-wise. And I won't be able to tell them apart ahaha.
Fair enough! The only thing people tend to take from it is the characterisation. Because the explanation for why Roxas left the Organisation...well, sure, it's meaningful, but at the same time, it was a bit...'meh' to me. I expected something huge and epic. Or maybe it's just me.
...WHAT REALLY. Oh my god creepy factor up times a bajillion. I'd have pegged him for eleven, twelve at the least though the creepyperson in me could see him as eight, thanks to that Creepy Child trope..
And, well, I think the Bishie Factor is complete and utter bullshit |8 It's back to square one and all this BLAH BLAH BEAUTY = GOODNESS, SO EVERYTHING UGLY IS BAD and NONONO I WON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE BUT MYSELF.'
Yeah. Quite a shame in the end, really. I guess they had to tie up all the loose ends Days brought up.
I must say, this makes Ienzo all the more chilling. But seriously, nine. Wow. ...mind=blown.
Exactly! And seriously, imagine if that were applicable in real life. The human race would die out in a week's time because nobody can truly live up to the impossibly high standards of perfection set by the likes of fangirls.
I definitely will. And will try to stay true to him and do justice to his character!
