democracy at work
It's an interesting society that makes me feel compelled to vote, even though I don't really give a fuck. I'm a reasonably intelligent person. I am able to think for myself. If I were willing to put the time into fully reading through each proposition, deciphering the legal jargon and applying it towards its real impact on our society, I feel like I could make a well-informed, intelligent decision. However, I simply don't have the time. And by that, I mean I have all the time in the world, but I ain't gonna. Perhaps I'll just leave my absentee ballot by the TV, and fill in whatever bubble according to what political commercials come on.
