THIS IS AN ENTRY ABOUT VINTAGE SEWING PATTERNS.
since i have nothing better to do with my time, here are photos of every vintage (and not-really-vintage-bc-80s-is-too-new-to-be-vintage) pattern i own. UNF i love me some vintage patterns.

alternately, we can discuss the vintage pattern wiki and how i just recently discovered it and am now feeding a cray-cray addiction.

everyone: let's share the love!!!

new york 1105 (no copyright, i'm assuming it is late 40s/early 50s)
this one was given to me by my ATL buddy. it is unmarked, and therefore scary as hell. i can't wait to try to make it heh heh heh.

new york 1110 (once again, no copyright... probably late 40s/early 50s)
also given to me by ATL buddy. thanks, ATL buddy!

simplicity 1617 (1954)
ok, so i just bought this one but haven't received it yet. does that count?

simplicity 2412 (1948)
also just bought :X

mccall's 2444 (1986)
this is the first ~vintage~ pattern i bought! lulz i love 80s patterns so so much.

mccall's 3053 (1971)
bought this one on etsy with all intentions of making it. i actually bought black cotton and cut out the pattern pieces, started stitching shit together (i think the zipper is inserted and the shoulders are sewn up) and then just... gave up. i don't even remember why, but the pieces have been sitting in a box for about 2 years now hahahaha.

simplicity 4400 (1958)
i REALLY want to make this one, but i need to find a good pillbox hat first. it wouldn't look right without the hat. and for the record, i look awesome in pillbox hats.

butterick 4996 (probably late 60s/early 70s)
another gift from ATL buddy. this is cute, although the shift dress doesn't really look good on me.

simplicity 5148 (probably late 50s)
someday, i will make this and have an awesome coat.

butterick 5217 (1990. no, i guess that's not vintage. oh well, it's staying)
i bought this at a thrift store bc i could not stop loling over the sleeves. once i find an appropriate occasion (and black tie wedding can be filed under "inappropriate, tyvm), i'm totally going to make this with ruffled sleeves and rock it.

simplicity 5232 (1963)
i really should make this one, it's actually really cute and would work well for the office.

simplicity 5798 (1964)
once again, probs would look like shit on me but oh well.

mccall's 6070 (1978)
OH GOD YES I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE THIS TACKY ROMPER. hahaha i bought some awesome lime green and white polyester from the thrift store last week that will totally be made into this.

simplicity 7005 (1967)
oops i forgot i had this one. loove it.

simplicity 7177 (1967)
i made this one, actually, in view 3, using alexander henry fabric last year. which reminds me, i haven't worn that thing in a hot minute.

vogue 7313 (1988)
CAN WE TALK ABOUT VIEW A??? i actually just bought this a couple weeks ago and i neeeeeeed that skirt in my life.

simplicity 7376 (1976)
hahaha pretty sure the reason why i bought this one was so i could make a white suit and be celine dion circa 1999 in that awful backwards white suit disaster for halloween. which i never did, by the way. yet.

simplicity 7635 (1968)
i bought this one before i realized that shift dresses look awful on me (and i thought the envelope was super cute, sue me). i also cut out all the pieces and started sewing, got confused with the facings (it was one of the first patterns i ever sewed) and stuffed it in a box, along with mccall's 3053, where it resides to this day.

vogue 8743 (probably late 70s)
the writing on the envelope cracks me up: oh boy- skirt too small, double pockets are hard to even up, collar is pretty - put it on the "old way" lolololol

simplicity 8619 (1988)
:D i made this one for my 24th birthday hahaha

i am also keeping this entry public because i'm reckless like that.

got any good vintage patterns? post 'em!
