omg, nashvile is far superior to memphis. by like, a thousand. all memphis has is BBQ and overpriced graceland. you can buy elvis merch in nashville, and memphis is only like 3 hours away if you *really* want that BBQ ;)

i don't think i've ever actually been to nashville... my grandparents used to live right outside memphis and i always just loved it there and had an awesome time visiting. and basically anywhere i can live that's cheaper than where i live now is where i want to be.
but i'm a vegetarian so i'm not even going to be able to enjoy the bbq:(

i'm not sure about the price differences between nashville and memphis, but i'm pretty sure that memphis is cheaper. i know the median income is lower. but the south is stupid cheap anyway, especially if you're a-ok with living in trashier areas - there are some parts of nashville where you can rent an entire house for like, $500.

i bet you can just dump some of that delish BBQ sauce on non-meat things! do they use meat products in BBQ sauce? i've never considered that.

the thing is, i own a townhouse in baltimore city in one of the worst areas, right next to a crack den and literally across the street from a housing project..like, i basically live on "The Wire" and my house is still almost $120k. my bf and i lurk realestate in memphis constantly and you can get a HUGE/brand new/amazing house for under $200k, it makes me so angry.

bbq sauce itself is usually pretty safe...and good on veggie chicken nuggets!
