Yesterday evening, the Coon Brothers made an appearance on our roof at dusk...
It was good to see them. They used to be regular visitors, descending from our roof to the front lawn via the cedar on the right, clinging head-down and staring into the living room window at our freaked-out cat.
But they've been scarce for many months (or just came through when we were dead asleep, although with the way they thump on the roof, that seems unlikely).
They stayed for quite a while...
They hung out and watched my mother and I as we prepped the old car for towing away (it's been donated to a charity), and wrestled and played tag by the cedar for about 15 minutes before they thumped and thudded their way through the hedge and over the fence to continue their party in the neighbor's yard.
