Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival presents: Fingersmith
Fingersmith is set in 1862 in Victorian England. The life of young orphan Sue gets turned upside down when Richard Rivers, an old friend of her caregiver Mrs. Sucksby (Oscar nominee Imelda Staunton, Vera Drake) convinces her to help him win the affection of Maud Lilly, a wealthy young lady, and defraud her of all her money. Soon Sue is living in the manor, and working as Maud's maid. The two young women become friends, and despite growing affection and attraction for Maud, Sue successfully encourages her to marry the gentleman Richard Rivers and fall into the trap she helped create. Unexpectedly Sue falls victim to her own scheme and her life avalanches to unforeseen and dramatic lows! ah! i had no idea they had anything like that around here...it's all the way in homestead though. :( i bet it's a great show. i might end up there if i'm in the mood for a long drive. thank you for letting me know! i'm all excited now.
you know there is a ghost tour this sunday in ft lauderdale... you and chris should join us! even if it sucks it's always fun to be scared.
