Oh my, it didn't click in my brain at all! It didn't click at all that all these people, often innocent, turn into these creatures that have no problem with killing and blood after their behelit transformation.
I didn't see it as trickery/manipulation either, i thought that was Griffith's true inner journey, believing that all he really ever wanted was his old dream of becoming king/powerful. I'm so glad to know this isn't the case...

And looool, i reckon. They were rather close during the rescue/running away mission.. if it wasn't for the fact they kept leaving Griffith by himself >.<. It felt like they were avoiding him because they couldn't deal with what he's become.. mainly speaking of Casca.. what was the deal with Griffith falling on top of her? What was he trying to say? ;_; (i need things spelled out to me lol)
I absolutely love the image where Guts is helping Griffith put on his armor.. with Griffith's back turned Guts allows his real feelings to be written across his upset/happy/sorrowful brow. Oh, it's love <3
