Podcast
In other news I've started a podcast. It's an odd format for a podcast - I read pulp men's novels (spy novels, mercenary novels, detective novels, etc) and comment on them as I read. Mainly the comments are in terms of writing but stuff happens. So the podcast has the feel of a miniseries - I read the whole book, after all. Each book gets its own treatment.
The other half of the idea is that I don't read the book before reading it aloud. I go into it cold, so we all get to discover what happens at the same time.
I thought I'd be able to just push it to SoundCloud but they have a weird method of determining how long something is so I went over limits. Poking around looking for free hosting proved pointless. For now, I've put the first book (broken into 11 roughly half-hour pieces) on Archive, but that won't push as a podcast in the classic sense. But it's out there, it's free and once I can find a little extra cash laying about I can get it happening.
