Hey guys! *waves* I had the opportunity to go to Fed Con in Germany and I had the pleasure of seeing Summer on stage doing her panels. This is what I can remember:
First: She is such a cute and shy and beautiful person! She had lost her voice at another convention (if I remember correctly) and so she was caughing all the time and apologizing and we all just wanted to hug her. :D
She told us that she came to Bonn with her sisters by train directly from Paris. And she and her sisters had fun in Germany.
Someone asked about whether she knew about the future of SCC yet, but she said she's gonna know it on may 18th and that she would be very, very sad to see the show go because she loves working on it and all the people she's working with.
She told us that her favorite fight scene is from the first episode of the second season.
She chose the music for the ballett scene from the first season, because Chopin is one of her favorites!
She hates jokes about her name and stupid pick-up-lines with it. quote: "Please don't call me winter. It's not funny." :D
She told us how the 'Summer!' - joke was born. They were shooting firefly and they had to go through a whole scene before it was her turn to speak but she was so inside her character that she missed her line and everyone was waiting for her and then someone yelled 'Summer!'. And then Nathan Filion thought it would be funny to use it all the time when someone missed their cue and she told us that this joke is going around all the whedon-sets and now people are using it who never have met her.
When she was talking, she reminded me soo much of River from Firefly and now I can appreciate her acting skills even more when I learned that she is not at all like Cameron from SCC. She even seems to use a different voice.
Did I tell you that she was beautiful? ;D Because, wow, she is! You can see that she is a dancer in every move and someone asked her about dancing and her eyes just lit up and you could see how much she loves dancing.
My friend got her autograph and she told me that she was so polite and nice and that she smiled at her. Oh, and her autograph line was the longest!
I wish I could remember more, but I was just sitting in her panels, listening, and forgot to take any notes. But it was such a pleasure to see her and I'm hoping that she will come back another time.
Here's a picture from the autograph table:
