Fox To Decide Sarah Connor's Fate In May from scifiscoop.com
Things weren’t looking so hot for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles until an unexpected ratings spike last week gave it some extra legs.

One of the gripes viewers have complained about is that the series hasn’t contained enough Terminator action for a series about Terminators. It ( Read more... )

It's already number one in DVR recording and viewing for Friday; not sure what more they expect from it. Sigh.

Won't the show be off the air by April at this point, given where we stand in the episodes? I'm confused as to why they'd wait for May, then.

It's number one in percentages, not in pure numbers. And what FOX cares about is pure numbers. A high percentage of a small number is still a small number. Although, of course, it is always difficult to figure out what exactly, FOX wants.

Yes. The finale should air April 9th. But I believe the networks make their announcements about new pilots for the fall lineup in May, so they'll make announcements about returning shows then as well.

Really? Because I thought it was a series about Sarah Connor, since it's called The Sarah Connor Chronicles! People complaining about that have missed the point of the whole show.

Sometimes I wonder how much of a difference it would have made in viewer preconceptions about the show if they'd just cut the "Terminator:" out of the title and left it as "The Sarah Connor Chronicles"...

It was originally supposed to be just "The Sarah Connor Chronicles" but FOX decided that people might not know what that meant, so they made them put Terminator in front of it.

Proving, once again, Fox doesn't know what they are doing.

I didn't know that. Interesting. Definitely further proof that FOX doesn't know what it's doing. Or, at the very least, the differences between what the network wants and what the writers/producers want. (Oh, Firefly.)

It sucks being in Australia. I can't effect the ratings. I am so hooked on this show, went off it at the start of season 2 but finally plowed my way through the first 6 eps of the season and now can't wait till the week end to get the next ep. I wish there was a way i coulds get my DL to count. I would pay a few bucks an ep for this!

GRRR, they can't get rid of it! It's the only thing I really look forward to on a Friday.

I doubt any other *new* show they can come up with will do any better.
