Bad news, go..,er, do we care? news

First the bad. While I guess it's not official official until next month's announcement from FOX, it does appear That TV Show is getting a second season. The ratings were pretty high, especially for such a poorly done show...and pretty much everything new this past season sucked(Except for one as far as what I saw and we'll get to that in a moment

Yeah..the big out of order thing with Firefly had to be a damn ploy to get rid of it. Yet it still had a following (mind you, if they aired in order they'd have lost me...I was already hooked by the time I saw Mal murder the horse otherwise I'd never have watched more...but I've hated Mal ever since). But then, I don't know what the ratings were...the following may just have been loud, not big.

There is the known franchise aspect too. They figure they've got it covered. And it IS amazing to me how many fans of the first two movies are "well, yeah, it sucks but it's 'Terminator' so I'll loyally watch as long as it's on." I'm sure that the powers that be at FOX knew damn well that there were fish already hooked.

Uh...and the writer's strike....I really think that helped it oddly enough. There was NOTHING else on during most of its airing. Nothing. At all. I suppose there'd have been little at the time and that's why it was timed out as it was, but there might have been something. If it had gone against Heroes we might be doing the happy dance right now.
