Chuck Season 3 premiered last night.
Now, I love the show. I've been looking forward to it...sadly, the sinking feeling I got while watching SyFy's marathon the other night on how the show's producers manage to never live up to the promise came true.

I felt they showcased everything wrong with the show.
Complete lack of character development? Check.
Despite things coming to a head last season, we’re back to the same will they/won’t they storyline that has kept this show barely hanging in the ratings.
Clueless disregard for changing dynamics? Check.
See point one. It was there in ep 1. Chuck choosing they spy world over Sarah. That flips the dynamic….AND THEN THEY IGNORE THAT AND GO BACK TO THE WAY THINGS WERE.
Major Plot Developments that go no where? Check.
Emmet was EXECUTED at the Buy More. The Spy World fully crashed into the Buy More world…and it was ignored. Why, because it’s funny that a jack ass got killed? Chuck’s immaturity led to one of the people from his civilian life being killed. And the plot point was ignored. I don’t give the writers credit that it’ll be important later, as they’ve showed a constant inability to do anything with these game changing ideas.
Last season Sarah said “How many times do you have to be a hero to realize that you are that guy?” Apparently a few more. Luckily, NBC has so little other shows that he’ll get the chance.
