I'm on fire ...

Where to start?

I won't be getting into grad school next year. It wasn't in the cards for UNCG, but they insisted I keep writing and try again in for 2010, because I apparently have promise. I'm going to submit my works to competitions. Either way, we're here for a while.

So until then, my life consists days of sleep and nights of enjoyable busting my ass at Sheetz store #366 here in Greensboro, a job at which I am apparently winning. No one understands that it's a real job until they do it. It can be challenging and busy, and I thrive under those circumstances. Take a Subway and a Starbucks, sell better quality product, add additional food items (burgers, hot dogs, fries, breakfast yumminess, etc.), and put it in a gas station. Have it open 24 hours. Go. I love my job. I get everything Meghan's been saying for months, only my store is waaaay busier.

I'm getting married May 15 in Anniston, AL ... at the Calhoun County Courthouse. There will be a "reception" the following say at the in-laws house in Oxford. I called my mom to tell her about it and invite her and it was actually painless. It was my idea to move ahead. We have three paydays in May, so it was the best time. We've basically been married for over a year. We're just getting the piece of paper.

I'm an adult now. I have a degree that taught me how to budget time and life and live with sleep deprevation. I love my life right now. I haven't been able to say that and truly mean it in a while.

wedding, sheetz, school, meghan
