The BVG, Berlin's public transport company, went on indefinite strike today. That means no subway, no tram and very few "emergency buses", mostly to the airports. FANTASTIC. Fortunately the S-Bahn is still running and covers the most important spots, but you still have to change trains a zillion times and/or walk for ages. For example, to get to work I'll need to switch trains (one of them at Friedrichstraße, which is crowded under normal circumstances and will be PACKED today) and then walk 15-20 minutes from Bahnhof Zoo to the office. I don't even know how to get to the In&Out meeting next Tuesday if they're still on strike then. What? I'm used to an extensive and convenient public transport system, dammit!
Dear BVG,
Your tickets are ridiculously expensive, there has to be some money in there to pay your workers. Please hand it over soon, because fully packed S-Bahn trains are no fun.

Sandra
