Fake! Route 29 Canon Update For Roxas and Barney.
The farthest Roxas can go is the end of KH2 (for the moment). So he'll be taken from there. Barney is included in this post as well so that I don't have to make two.
Roxas.
He hadn't wanted to go back. Had fought all the way. If Sora was having weird dreams about pokemon and battling, it was Roxas's fault because he hadn't wanted to leave. There was still more he needed to accomplish. And his team, he couldn't leave them behind, especially Sparky. And his friends. He'd finally gotten to meet Xion again, and how could he be a good big brother if he was back with Sora, or eat sushi?
Even though he knew everything now, and was alright with how things worked out, he still wanted to go back. So that night when Sora went to sleep on Destiny Islands with Riku and Kairi, finally glad to be home, he reawoke in Johto. Roxas could barely describe the elation that coursed through his body when he knew where he was, and he practically ran out the door, not bothering to listen to "mom's" explanation, or find out about his new starter.
Once outside, he whipped out the pokegear.
"I'm back!"

[Note: Barney has gone forward to Season 5, post-Jenkins. Because that's how far I've seen. So He's dealt with his crush on Robin, and had that relationship and has pretty much gone back to normal. His reaction is less joyful than Roxas's]
