Thanks to renitaleandra for bringing this to my attention, because I'd quite forgotten that the old Whispers archive was still in existance. I don't know if you remember the kerfuffle when a guy who called himself "Hermione" ran that archive into the ground, but I pulled the only two fics that I had posted there when it happened and promptly forgot about the

I saw that. :( I started to post a list of the people that I figured hadn't given chosen to archive there, but figured it would be best for everyone to just check for themselves. ~sigh~

I like knowing where my stories are, so I asked them to take them down. And geez, especially since I didn't have any reviews. ;P

Yeah I do too, I might not be that great but they are mine. I don't think you don't have reviews because they aren't good but because no one knows they are there

I'd forgotten about that archive since all that mess with "Hermione" and the wankery on WIKTT. I guess I'd expected the archive to fold, but obviously it didn't.

No kidding! You'd think that would have taught him a lesson. ~shrug~ Of course, if he's determined to archive stories without permission, why should the author's wishes mean anything?

Ok there is that point of view. Too bad it's just fan fic otherwise we could have better recourse.

I'm not sure exactly what recourse we have, but I'm going to be checking if my stories and profile aren't deleted. It's my understanding that while the characters and setting, etc. belong to JKR, any original characters and text belongs to the fanfic writer. Posting those without permission may be a violating of their webhost's TOS, and that would be the next step.
