Sick days
So Raymond is sick. I can't take him to the doctor I prefer due to insurance issues. So I call his "doctor" and they are, get this, screening their calls. The nurse calls me back and says to treat the 103.7 fever and vomiting with fever reducers (acetaminophen doesn’t help with his fevers so I can't alternate it with ibuprofen) and liquids in 1/2 ounce amounts every half hour (so he don't vomit it back up).
Funniest part was when I got to take a shower while on the telephone with my cousin Rashelle, due to being spewed on.
I'm just wondering if they looked in his file when I called. They would have seen that he had pneumonia twice at under 8 months and lives with two immune-compromised seniors.
