It’s not yet time for the photoshoot for the new shop pictures, and Nakajima Yuto is incredibly bored in the dressing room.
So bored, in fact, that he is sorely tempted to steal Yamada’s strawberries just for the fun of it. He reconsiders this after remembering that Daiki’s secret boots hurt like hell when they step on your foot, especially when he’s furious about the rest of JUMP bullying Yamada.
“Keito~” he whines, plopping down on the sofa to stick his nose into the other boy’s fluffy hair. “I’m bored.”
Keito turns and blinks at him blearily.
“I don’t see what that has to do with me.”
Yuto pouts.
“Yama-chan’s stuffing himself and Chinen’s off bullying Ryutaro so you’re the only one who’s free to play with me! Let’s play janken or something.”
Sighing, Keito closes his book.
“Blind janken then. It’s more fun that way.”
“…Blind janken?”
“We don’t look at each other, and on the count of three we randomly flash one of the signs,” Keito explains. “If you do it quickly sometimes you won’t even know what you put out.”
This sounds like a great idea to Yuto, but just when he begins to count down, the photographer pops in and tells them it’s time to come to the set.
“No fair!” he grumbles. “I was just getting excited, too…”
They take the shots in small groups first, so he and Keito are told to stand behind Yabu and Takaki. Yuto does his usual peace sign as the photographer begins to count down, but he could have sworn he saw Keito wink a moment before the flash came out.
They check the photos, and Yuto realizes why.
“I won,” Keito says smugly, pointing to the pictures. “Rock beats scissors.”
Indeed, Keito’s hand was clenched in a fist around Yabu’s shoulder. Yuto wrinkles his nose.
“How would I know the game had started?”
“There was a countdown,” Keito says, in a tone suggesting he’s making the most sense in the world.
Yuto scowls.
“I’ll get even,” he says grumpily. “Just you wait and see.”

Finally come the group shots with all ten of them. When the photographer asks them to decide a pose, Yuto has a feeling Keito will clench his fist again. He raises his hands up, palms facing the camera, and grins at the lens.
When they check the photos it’s Yuto’s turn to be smug.
“Paper beats rock!” he says happily, and Keito sighs, smiling.
“Alright, alright.”
“We’re even now!”
Keito claps Yuto on the back, leading him away towards the tent with their food.
“Yes, yes. Whatever you say.”
Yuto’s happy laughter echoes down the hallway.
