Okay so I'm going to combine a review for 4 & 5 k? Don't hate me!
I'm really enjoying the dynamic you've set up between Lucas, Peyton and Haley. It's like Peyton loves Haley and is protecting her as she is now, where as Lucas also loves Haley but to her she's still the girl she was when they saw each other every day, and he wants to protect her in the little sister best friend way, opposed to as the woman she's become.
I hate that Lucas saw Nathan and Brooke too - it totally blows my theory up the creek! Guess I'll stop trying to work out what's happening and leave it for you to unveil!
I laughed, cringed, and loved, when Deb referred to Haley as her daughter in law, it was like Oh woman you are so clueless, and so transparent except Haley's got her blinkers on. Also highly amusing - Peyton saying Mouth wanted to jump Nathan! hehe!
I like the Skills/Haley stuff in this fic too, he's flirting with her but it comes across more friendly than anything, (not that we can blame him if there's something more behind it!).
I'm intrigued to see what's going to happen now Haley's resolved to move past things, especially as Nathan seems intent to go back. Ooh i wanted to reach in the story and slap him when he said "He clears his throat, taking a deep breath. “I don’t think we’re over, Hales. I think that there is more to our story, our song, and I miss you. God, I miss how I was back then, how we were. Life was so much better, and - “" He just has no right at all to ambush her like that! Of course he's Nathan, and so my heart goes out with him whatever his mistakes may be, but grr in that moment I was so mad!
Talking of the handsome guy how apt for him to walk up then! Really looking forward to seeing what happens next as always!

Thanks, I'm glad that the Peyton/Luke/Haley combo works out. It has the potential to be awkward, and it's kind of cool that they'd keep it so that it wasn't. These Tree Hill people, a little too inbred in how they do everything, including friendships. So convoluted, but isn't that why we love it?
But....but....doesn't Luke get to be the hero for stopping Brooke from taking advantage of dumb, drunk Nathan? Come on, we'll give him a leotard and a little cape, like Underdog or something.
Deb is so bloody awkward, isn't she? She's awkward like someone getting turned down after a public marriage proposal. Just not a comfortable situation to be in.
Which resolve is greater than the other? I think we all know who will win the resolve crown! Yeah, Nathan might not have a leg to stand on in all this considering how he acted, but that won't stop him from trying!
